The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) literally raked in the cash. Their total assets reached $477 million and the fiscal year 2017 endowment rose to $432 million.
SPLC’s cash-flush status was boldly illustrated by its FY2017 expenses of $60 million – contrasted by its FY2017 revenues of $180 million. But where does all that moolah go?
According to The Weekly Standard, offshore investments by the SPLC added up to $92.5 million. It’s very profitable when you classify Christian organizations as radical extremists, list Tea Party organizations as terrorists, and ignore Islamists… and Google pays you to be its esteemed fact-checker.
