Conformity, or Else: Crushing Free Speech – by Jim Bratten

Jim Bratten

Jack Del Rio is the assistant defensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders, the politically correct NFL franchise that caved to a name change (from the Redskins) because Deep State Leftists, Hollywood entertainers, and Roger Goodell at the NFL had a racist fit.

Responding to a tweet from former Obama adviser Norm Eisen on June 6, a veiled threat against Trump and his supporters based on a January 6, 2021 protest, Jack tweeted his personal opinion which, to a conservative, made complete common sense: “Would love to understand ‘the whole story’ about why the summer of riots, looting, burning and the destruction of personal property is never discussed but this is??? #CommonSense” An honest question. Why are the details of the 2020 Summer Riots buried and dismissed? Jack knows that “the whole story” has far greater impact on the survival of the U.S. and our future as a republic than Capitol “trespassing.”

Jack appeared publicly on June 8, explaining that he had “asked a simple question” about the “dustup at the Capitol,” and why it was “ruled a major deal” compared to the massive 2020 Summer Riots. He stated in a tweet later that day that he was sorry for using the word “dustup” [for the January 6 protest] and that it was “irresponsible and negligent.” He stood by “comments condemning violence in communities across the country.”

That fired up the NAACP, which responded, “It’s time for Jack Del Rio to resign or be terminated. His comments could not have been more offensive and ignorant.” If one disagrees with the NAACP, one should quit voluntarily or be fired, apparently. “Not on our side? You not only lose your constitutionally-guaranteed voice; you lose your income.” Because Del Rio’s comments offended the NAACP doesn’t taint his observations; he’s entitled to his opinions. And he certainly is not “ignorant.” What he professed was honest and worthy of consideration. He made a valid comparison; one that many others have made and still make.

Del Rio was then taken aside by team management, forced to apologize and fined $100,000. Ron Rivera, head coach of the Commanders, stated in a press release on June 10, “As we saw last night in the hearings, what happened on the Capitol on January 6, 2021 was an act of domestic Terrorism. A group of citizens attempted to overturn the results of a free and fair election. Our organization will not tolerate any equivalency between those who demanded justice in the wake of George Floyd’s murder and the actions of those on January 6 who sought to topple our government.”

Rivera should stop swallowing what CNN is dishing up, but he’s not alone in NFL “Wokeville.”

What Ron Rivera saw on the evening of June 9 was a concocted, scripted “show.” Pelosi’s production only highlighted what it wanted people to see, based on a predetermined narrative; pure propaganda that cost $8 million in taxpayer dollars. Rivera should have asked for the REST of the video, the testimony not shown, the evidence not presented, the explanations not given; that is, the other side, which has been shut out of the conversation.

Concerning Jack Del Rio, Rivera was dead wrong. Jack wasn’t professing any “equivalency” between January 6 and the 2020 Summer Riots; he was expressing the huge disparity. Maybe Coach Rivera needs to listen more carefully to what his subordinates say, and not buy the Democrat narrative.

The BLM/Antifa/Democrat 2020 Summer Riots (600+ across the nation) had a substantial cost in human lives (many of those were law enforcement officers) and well over $2 billion in private and public property damage. January 6 had neither. The destruction, looting and mayhem were glorified, supported, and sanctioned by the Democrat Party, Democrat Media, and their surrogates. For the Marxists, the 2020 Summer Riots don’t count; those were “peaceful protests” conducted for a cause (more importantly, an objective). They claim January 6, 2021 was an “insurrection” and “an attack on democracy.” The recorded facts of that day verify neither.

We cannot find any evidence of a congressional “select committee” to investigate the 2020 Summer Riots, however. The three months of intense unrest that summer, where many of the anarchists, fascists, and Marxists who controlled the “mobs” were regarded as armed and dangerous, are ignored.

The Woke Mob won’t accept apologies from Del Rio. They have their ongoing inquisition performed by Pelosi’s “Select Committee” and, after the pitiful prime-time production on June 9, their illusion. Creating an alternate reality to sell the nation is central to the success of their agenda of transformation. Any speech that objects or counters their “ends justify the means” strategy will be censored or, if need be, crushed, as Jack Del Rio discovered.

It’s conformity… or else.

  1. Tolerance, whether for Sodomites or Communists, is a transitional phase before the fang and claw come out to impose their totalitarian program. Live and let live, in other words, until we’re ready to crush you.
