It’s rare when the elites in progressive Washington, DC target a fellow Democrat. However, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn is different. He has principles, a conscience, and is a patriot. He honorably served in the U.S. Army for 33 years, earning multiple commendations, and retired in 2014.
His “problem” occurred when he served as Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency under President Barack Obama from July, 2012 to August, 2014 and veered off the Obama agenda. Flynn sought to downsize the unwieldy intelligence “community” and told the truth about the Islamic State. A large target appeared on his back, since Obama had politicized the Intel agencies, FBI, and DOJ.
He was succeeding in the private sector when he made the mistake of working for the Donald Trump presidential campaign. The eyes and ears of Brennan, Clapper and Comey were on him with growing interest. When Flynn accepted the position of National Security Adviser in President-elect Trump’s White House, the FBI’s “interest” quickly escalated to intense and illegal.
The FBI spied on the president’s transition team, which included Flynn, at the instruction of then-President Obama. As President-elect Trump neared inauguration, surveillance became action.
Former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe walked into the White House under false pretenses and set up the framing of Flynn, who said McCabe pressured him to meet with them without an attorney present during an impromptu “interview” in his White House office. The FBI said, “You won’t need one.” Then they proceeded to conduct an interrogation, not an interview, and set up their standard perjury trap against Lt. General Flynn.
He wasn’t advised of his rights; not even told he was being investigated. He was told he wouldn’t need a lawyer present for the “interview.” The FBI actually changed the language of the charges against Flynn, since they were prosecuting Flynn for not lying, essentially. The original FBI 302 that the two agents who interrogated him created basically stated that Flynn didn’t lie. Now that original 302 form is missing. How convenient that it’s been “lost.”
Flynn’s family was harassed, and to pay his immense legal fees he had to sell his home; all to defend himself against ideological opponents who wanted to thoroughly destroy him. Doubly disgusting after the FBI sabotage of his records was the comment made to a reporter by former Obama DNI James Clapper, telling the reporter to “take the kill shot” regarding Flynn.
The retired general was pressured to cut a deal, or else his son, whose files and computers were confiscated by FBI agents, would be brought in and processed. The FBI used Flynn’s son as a lever against him. If he declined to “play ball” with them, they would go after his son. General Flynn had already lost his family’s home because of the FBI and DOJ. When they threatened to take his son, he surrendered and cut a deal.
Then his prayers were answered and he found a new defense attorney, former federal prosecutor Sydney Powell, author of Licensed to Lie, an expose’ of FBI and DOJ corruption. She knows “how it works” when the FBI suborns perjury and explained how FBI agents manipulated documents and statements to charge Flynn.
She called out the FBI for its perjury trap, “…not for the purpose of discovering any evidence of criminal activity – but for the purpose of trapping him into making statements they could allege as false.”
Flynn withdrew his guilty plea and Powell is trying to get the entire case dismissed, since new documents have incriminated the FBI. Another plot to destroy an honorable man will come to an end, hopefully where Flynn can seek justice – something he is certainly owed.
One idea would be Lt. General Flynn replacing Christopher Wray as Director of the FBI… that would be justice.
