Throughout the “coronavirus pandemic” Democrat Media has bludgeoned the Trump administration because they claim the U.S. death toll from the virus is far higher than most European nations. This was found in The New York Times, however: Through July, deaths per 100,000 in the U.S., 45; Belgium, 86; Britain, 70; Spain, 61; Italy, 58; France, 45; and Germany, 11.
Those six European countries combined have done 48 million COVID-19 tests. The U.S. has completed 61 million. Their combined population equals the U.S., as do their deaths from the Wuhan virus. The six EU nations have a total of 336 million people; the U.S. has 335 million. Through July, the six EU nations had seen 159,000 deaths from the virus; the U.S., 158,000.
Again, the Democrat Media is fudging numbers to make the U.S. look bad, to slam Trump’s handling of the Wuhan virus. If we look, we find that the U.S. death toll is where it is because of the Blue states. Even the New York Times knows this, reporting these state numbers, deaths per 100,000, from the coronavirus pandemic: New Jersey, 178; New York, 167; Massachusetts, 125; Connecticut, 124; Rhode Island, 95; Louisiana, 87; and Michigan, 65. Spain, in the Times comparison, had 61 deaths.
Democrat Media even jockeyed around GDP numbers for the second quarter 2020.
The U.S. GDP fell 9.5% in the second quarter, but the Democrat Media reported a 32% drop – the annualized figure, not the second quarter number. On July 31, The Guardian reported, “Eurozone GDP slumps by record 12.1% amid Coronavirus Pandemic chaos.” The “German Economy Shrank 10.1% at Height of Virus Crisis,” said the Financial Times on July 30. Other sources didn’t list the U.S. as the worst GDP loser in the second quarter either, giving only factual data. Sadly for U.S. media consumers, Fake News continues to spread incorrect data.
President Trump is allowed no victories, no accomplishments, no achievements; nothing for which he can take credit. That’s the narrative and the Democrat Media is sticking to it. Soviet Pravda would be envious.
