The August Jobs Report is good. The number of Americans unemployed is down to 13.6 million. The unemployment rate dropped to 8.4%, well below expectations.
There were 1,371,000 jobs added in August and, since May, 10.43 million have been added. The August Jobs Report from the BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics) gives the details:
· Retail sector added 248,900
· Professional & Business Services added 197,000
· Leisure & Hospitality added 174,000
· Healthcare added 75,300
· Manufacturing added 29,000
President Trump said that the drop in the unemployment rate is “way ahead of schedule.”
The “V” recovery is under way and Rasmussen now has Trump’s approval rating at 52%.
