Never missing an opportunity, Senate Democrat Minority Leader Chuck Schumer took advantage of Trump’s situation (and that of three Republican senators who also have tested positive for the Wuhan virus recently).
“Considering the president’s condition, it would be unconscionable to proceed with confirmation hearings on Amy Coney Barrett…” Schumer couldn’t even address her as “judge,” to which she’s entitled.
Senate Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell assured Senator Schumer that the Judiciary Committee hearings for Judge Barrett on October 12 would occur as planned.
Sorry, Charlie. Your subversive attempt to delay the hearing and confirmation of Judge Barrett has been denied.
