‘Choke-Point’ Lives – by Jim Bratten

Indiana State Senate bill SB 49 by Republican State Senator Jim Tomes, called the “Firearms Industry Nondiscrimination Act,” would make it unlawful for banks in Indiana to financially discriminate against the firearms industry. It says corporate intrusions on fundamental rights, based on purely political excuses, cannot stand in the state of Indiana.

Banks don’t get to discriminate against lawful businesses simply because the bank’s “image” would be sullied by dealing with legal manufacturers of products or services that support the Second Amendment.

Even though the illegal scheme by Barack Obama and Eric Holder called “Operation Choke-point” has ended, financial discrimination by politically correct Indiana banks continues.

SB 49 never made it out of a committee in a super-majority Republican senate––seems that banks trump our constitutionally-protected right to self-defense.
