Trial by Mob: It’s Not About Race… It’s About the Revolution – by Jim Bratten

Jim Bratten

In Minneapolis, a favorite city for rioters and arsonists, a policeman was tried by an ideological mob, supported by an ignorant, bystander public. He was judged by a political agenda that hates America and its historic law enforcement system and works toward its destruction.

The trial of Officer Derek Chauvin was a travesty. Lady Justice’s blindfold was ripped off and her scales were discarded. The concept of a fair trial through due process was again radicalized and turned into a political circus. Chauvin was declared guilty on all three counts, all of which lacked evidence to convict (beyond the shadow of a doubt): Second Degree Murder, Third Degree Murder, and Second-Degree Manslaughter.

Last spring, the Democrats’ radical storm trooper brigades, embodied in Antifa and Black Lives Matter (BLM), anxiously awaited an “opportunity” — another black victim of the American law enforcement system. George Floyd died in the custody of Minneapolis police during his arrest for passing a counterfeit $20 bill and the Antifa/BLM forces pounced upon south Minneapolis. Their paid thugs coalesced there from across the nation, eager to inflict damage and subvert public perception of what had happened to Mr. Floyd.

George Floyd had screamed “I wanna lay on the ground!” repeatedly, as he tried to escape the rear seat of the patrol car he had been handcuffed and placed in. He was suffocating from a fatal mix of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and THC he had ingested minutes before his arrest by police. Floyd had an extensive criminal record, much of it violent, yet the officers on site granted his wish. They pulled him from the squad car and placed him on the pavement, using an approved maneuver to subdue suspects — using a knee on the upper torso: the back of the neck or upper shoulder area.

The autopsy on George Floyd revealed that he died of suffocation from the overdose of drugs, not from an officer’s knee. No damage was found from the application of the knee, even after nine minutes. But arresting officers were immediately accused of murder by the Democrat Media. Even conservative media sources’ commentators and contributors called the Floyd death, early on, a murder.

However, the outcome of this trial was prematurely decided by the $27 million civil settlement that Minneapolis awarded to the George Floyd family. That decided Derek Chauvin was guilty of the death of Floyd. The autopsy report of death by suffocation caused by severe drug overdose was ignored because selective portions of video evidence provided the prosecution with all they needed for conviction. The video, along with the rage of a mob stirred by Democrat media and the city’s predetermination of guilt sealed Chauvin’s fate.

The Chauvin jury also was never sequestered until the final determination phase. The trial, due to the massive 24/7 coverage of the proceedings, should never have been allowed to stay in Hennepin County. It should have been moved outstate to a more unbiased environment, to frustrate Democrat Media from exploiting the case for their political ends.

This verdict was based on fear and mob mentality; a policeman with a troubled record sacrificed to a radical mob so homes and lives of the jurors would be spared destruction by neo-Marxists and anarchists that have free reign in a Democrat-controlled city with agenda-driven officials who hate police and all they represent.

After the verdict was announced, people in the protest crowd danced and skipped down the street, chanting and singing, “I love being black… I love the color of my skin!” (It appears that only one’s outside is important, because that’s all it takes to get special privileges — and power.) But race wasn’t even mentioned in the trial!

BLM declared after the verdict… “You can’t stop the revolution.”
