A Warn-Out Narrative – by Jim Bratten

Within hours of the recent Buffalo shooting the Left began attacking “gun rights.” Once more they blamed the inanimate object, the weapon used, not the tormented soul who wielded it. Leftists cannot even admit evil exists; if they could recognize it, it still wouldn’t trump their agenda. A deranged, evil lunatic slaughtered ten innocent people and wounded three more in Buffalo, but he wasn’t to blame – the gun did it.

Mayor Byron Brown of Buffalo blamed “guns” and “hate on social media” for the killing, not the shooter. New York Governor Hochul joined the chorus, blaming guns, though New York has some of the nation’s toughest gun laws. She pointed her diatribe at the “unfettered access to guns” and the “sharing of hate on the Internet,” even though the shooter bought his weapon legally in New York. It was the system that didn’t identify him as a risk since no one flagged him. The government allowed the purchase of his firearm.

Two days after Buffalo, Joe Biden showed up to use his political power to defame and demean most of the country: “America is infused with white supremacy.” That now familiar insult to Americans was followed by other lies, also common to the Biden Regime and their progressive minions, most notably “gun violence.”

Biden used it back in March 2021, visiting Atlanta to make political points after a shooting in that city that took the lives of several Asian Americans in a beauty salon. He trashed firearm ownership instead of the evil that used the weapon.

In Buffalo, Joe showed his typical “anger face,” speaking to divide; insulting over half the nation, those who don’t blame the gun but blame the evil. “The venom of the haters, their weapons of war, the violence in the words and deeds, that stalk our streets, our stores, our schools… We have to refuse to live in a country where black people going on a weekly grocery shopping can be gunned down by weapons of war… If we can’t keep assault weapons off our streets… we’ve done it before…” (And we’ve heard this all before.)

A little over a week later, evil struck again. This time Joe began his address with compassion, but soon devolved into his usual rant, simply repeating the dishonest, time-worn narrative that is all he knows. It’s well-rehearsed, since he regurgitates a version of it every time he speaks of a death delivered by a firearm.

Mere hours after an insane gunman delivered death to 19 children and two adult teachers in an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, Biden urged Congress to take up gun control legislation and called on the public to “stand up to the gun lobby.”

Biden acknowledged the grief and terrible loss of a child, like “having a piece of your soul ripped away.” Then he made a request. “So, tonight, I ask the nation to pray for them, to give the parents and siblings the strength in the darkness they feel…”

Then Joe made his demands. He launched attacks on any who would disagree with his narrative: “gun violence” is the problem. He admitted “we can’t prevent every tragedy” but vowed that his gun control measures will reduce the violence and asked, “When… are we going to stand up to the gun lobby? When… are we going to do what we all know in our gut needs to be done?”

He noted that it had been “10 years since I stood up at a high school in Connecticut — a grade school in Connecticut… Since then, there have been over 900 incidents of gunfires reported on school grounds… and I’m sick and tired of it. We have to act… and don’t tell me we can’t have an impact on the carnage.”

Taking shots at Republicans, Joe claimed they were blocking “common sense gun laws,” then continued his babbling. “Deer aren’t running through the forest with Kevlar vests on… It’s just sick. Most Americans support common-sense gun laws… And the gun manufacturers have spent two decades aggressively marketing assault weapons… We have to have the courage to stand up to the industry… These kinds of mass shootings rarely happen anywhere else in the world…” Lie, after lie, after lie; as usual.

“Where… is our backbone? Why are we willing to live with this carnage? Why do we keep letting this happen?” All questions that Joe could very well answer himself, but that wouldn’t serve his purpose. He was upset that he had to talk about this again, that people wouldn’t listen to him. People know that Joe cannot support what he claims with any facts. He’s a serial liar. But he’s frustrated that he cannot bulldoze Congress to pass his “gun laws” because they cannot be defined as “common sense.”

Devious politicians like Joe who blame guns as the major problem – when less than 8% of violent crime involves a gun – and will not recognize evil as the cause of these deaths, have another agenda. And it doesn’t bode well for our Liberty.
