“The Missing Headline” by Amy Schlichter

The March on Washington, the collapse of the Berlin Wall, the moon landing…these are landmark headlines that have shaped our history. But what if I told you that the media missed something? What if I told you that our popular culture has missed one of the greatest scientific confirmations of all time?

Justice Potter Stewart said, during the Roe v Wade debate, “If the suggestion of personhood is established, Roe, of course, collapses.”

What if I told you that the entire decision of Roe was based on NOT having scientific evidence in 1973 that life begins at conception and that Roe was put into place under the impression that abortion was NOT the killing of human life?

Now we know different.  Now we know the truth. Now we know that Science has confirmed that life does indeed begin at conception and the media somehow missed it.  There simply is no debate anymore.

To take this further, what if I told you that Indiana already has language in the state code confirming that life begins at conception? Would that surprise you?

Indiana code 16-34-2 1.1(a)(1)(E) says that ‘human physical life begins when a human ovum is fertilized by a human sperm.”  How can Indiana say that life begins at fertilization but still allow approximately 8500 babies to be butchered every year?

We have continued to regulate abortion when we have the power to stop it.  Why? Why is Indiana not protecting Hoosier Babies to the full capacity?

What if I told you that all that is needed to save these living babies is for the Indiana Legislature to merely protect the life it has already acknowledged has begun?

This legislative session, Representative Nisly, District 22, will set the state standard by filing a Protection at Conception Bill.  This legislation would dismantle abortion by using the Supreme Court’s own language, coupled with Indiana’s own code.  It is the strongest pro-life bill you could imagine.

What if I told you that courageous leaders are coming forward as we speak to protect Indiana’s unborn?

Peter Heck, national speaker and life advocate, said, “There is a movement growing in Indiana to rise up and say no more. Courageous leaders are coming forward and you can be part of this historic effort this year.”

Recently Hoosiers for Life, with the appearance of Representative Nisly and Peter Heck, produced a short video that explains what is happening this year in Indiana and how you can provide a voice for the voiceless. This short four-minute clip needs to be shared with every person you know who believes human life has value.

So, what is the coming heading?

Abortion Is Illegal.

It is never the wrong time to do the right thing.  And this is the right thing to do in Indiana “The reality is, that this can be the generation that finally stops the killing,” Peter Heck states, “constitutionally, morally, ethically, scientifically, the argument is over.  All that’s missing is our courage as a people to end this.”  He petitions citizens in our newest video project by saying, “I’m ready…are you?”
