SUV Crashes into Neighborhood Walmart

At approximately 8:20 Monday evening, the driver of a white SUV screeched through the parking lot at the Neighborhood Walmart near Covert Ave. and Vann Ave.

The SUV hit two cars before crashing to a stop between the concrete entrance pillars and one wall of the building itself.

No one appeared to be injured, but the drivers of the other vehicles were complaining of pain in their bodies.

The young female driver, who was screaming into her cell phone, “I hit someone!” was handcuffed and placed into the back of an EPD squad car soon after.

Eyewitnesses all had differing reports, but it appeared that the driver was angry prior to the crash.

Speculators were indicating that she may have been trying to run over a pedestrian.

At least two people had to jump out of the path of the vehicle before it came to a stop.
