Alternate Realities – by Jim Bratten

Gender is not fluid, susceptible to change at a whim, as California attempted to endorse and codify into law last year. Sex is assigned by God long before birth; DNA and chromosomes are fixed. Until that reality changes, sex is fixed. But that is not what is taught to our children, as young as kindergarten age, who are instructed that gender (sex) is changeable. Men dressed in drag (queens), reading to six year-olds at the story hour in your local library or school, tell them so.

It’s tragic when a psychological disorder morphs into a political movement, a “lifestyle,” intended to create another victim class and political group identity, which the public is then forced to accept. Young minds of boys and girls are warped to believe a psychological condition should be glorified and championed as desirable. Despicable and wrong to immerse our young in the alternate reality of gender confusion, it’s child abuse.

Just as tragic are false narratives of the progressive media and gullible corporations they propagandize that special crimes dealing with hatred should become law. This becomes dangerous when members of the Indiana legislature, or even worse the state’s governor, buy into an alternate reality scam.

The current promotion of “hate crimes” legislation in Indiana is a solution searching for a problem that doesn’t exist. Hate crimes were invented by progressives to subvert the traditional, accepted rule of law and institutionalize “victim groups” as special classes, worthy of unique protection in courts of law, as in the case of “gender identity.” Many who have analyzed the impetus behind this misguided effort interpret it as the establishment of “thought crimes.” The intent that causes a person to commit a crime, whether because of bias or hatred, used to be called “motive.” Not anymore. Welcome to 1984.

Bills in Indiana House and Senate committees that push adoption of “hate crimes,” enumerated or otherwise, are redundant. Indiana judges already have discretion in sentencing, and the bills proposed also violate the constitutions of Indiana and the U.S.!

Sounds like Indiana legislators have been listening to drag queen stories…
