Democrats have followed the Alinsky rule of “projection” for decades. Basically, you: Accuse your opponent of doing what you are actually doing. It happens over and over again, issue after issue, election after election; a mainstay of Democrats’ dishonest, adversary politics.
After the 2016 Democrat presidential candidate and the DNC colluded with Russians to invent the “Russia Hoax,” Democrats and their sycophants in the press, in a scheme of projection, framed the Trump campaign for “colluding with Russia to win the election.” When the Mueller Report dismissed the “collusion” fantasy, the next projection plot Democrats launched was about “obstruction of justice,” also doomed to dismal failure as lies are exposed.
When Democrats and their media outlets proclaimed a “manufactured crisis,” another projection scam denying the actual invasion crisis on our southern border, no one ever pointed to the source of the chaos: an actual manufactured crisis created by activist progressive groups in our own nation, supported by the open border, pro-illegal alien Democrat Party.
As Attorney General Barr testified before Congress that he believed spying on the Trump campaign took place, Democrats were livid. “This is an attempt to politicize our Justice Department!” they cried, though most federal agencies were long ago politicized and used as weapons against political enemies by the Obama Regime. Some agencies were even politicized under the Clinton administration. Clinton and Obama radicals remain deep in the bureaucracy, still primed for subversion.
Then there is the projection plan of the “constitutional crisis.” Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and other elected Democrats whine that “we’re in a constitutional crisis,” their media outlets all parroting that phrase. Is it because Attorney General Barr only gave them 99.9% of the Mueller Report, which House Democrats refuse to read?
One example of a constitutional crisis is what Democrats themselves created: the usurpation of the power of the House of Representatives as a political tool to deny an election and depose a president, not the legislative body it was intended to be as designed by our Framers. Another is what the Democrats have done to the IRS, CIA, FBI and DOJ; all weaponized to attack progressives’ political opponents. These are actual constitutional crises: federal agencies used as if the U.S. is a police state.
The latest projection scheme is another “cover-up” accusation, but this time more desperately insane. Rep. Schiff emphatically stated that “declassifying documents is a cover-up” by President Trump. (Let’s see… increasing transparency means something is being covered up?) After news of Trump’s “declassification” memo broke, Schiff tweeted this: “While Trump stonewalls the public from learning the truth about his obstruction of justice, Trump and Barr conspire to weaponize law enforcement and classified information against their political enemies. The cover-up has entered a new and dangerous phase. This is un-American.”
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) made it official, affirming Schiff’s accusations. “No one is above the law, including the President of the United States. And we believe the president is involved in a cover-up.” Former DNI (Director of National Intelligence) James Clapper warned on CNN last week: “This could be dangerous.”
Releasing documents hidden from congressional inquiry or public view due to a cover-up to save the hide of a Democrat presidential nominee, avoiding her indictment on several federal felonies, and the frame-up of her Republican opponent could be dangerous? Yes – to Mr. Clapper and his comrades in the failed, silent coup attempt.
Attorney General Barr will make certain the documents are released. He knows a cover-up projection plot when he sees one.
