Protecting Barbarism: ‘Abortion is a Moral Good’ – by Jim Bratten

Jim Bratten

The State of Alabama passed a law earlier this month, banning abortion in the state. The only exception was to “save the life of the mother,” an extremely rare occurrence. Physicians who perform abortions against this new law can be jailed; in some cases, for life.

Missouri followed closely behind Alabama, but only banning abortion after eight weeks. The bill was nicknamed the “Heartbeat Bill” after the time a baby’s heartbeat can usually be heard during pregnancy. Mississippi passed a “fetal heartbeat” law back in February, banning most abortions after six weeks.

Judging by the media’s reaction to the abortion law passed in Alabama, it is racist to let black children live, but not racist to allow them to be aborted. The cruel ideology of Margaret Sanger, eugenicist founder of Planned Parenthood, is alive and well. Black abortions are 40% of all those performed nationally; in New York City 70%. Black women constitute about 10% of the U.S. female population. The abortion industry appears to be highly racist, targeting people of color. Data doesn’t choose race.

Alabama’s law, written by a woman legislator and signed into law by a woman governor, is called anti-woman. Sued by the ACLU and Planned Parenthood, this law will end up on the docket of the Supreme Court. When that happens, will the diabolical truth about the abortion industry in the U.S. finally be exposed and dealt with?

Roe v. Wade is called “law of the land.” But it was never passed into law by Congress; it was declared law, unconstitutionally, by the U.S. Supreme Court, over the objections of many states. Same-sex marriage was “legalized” the same way – declared by the Supreme Court, against the laws of 30 states. Both are Tenth Amendment violations by the highest Court.

Cecile Richards with Laura McQuade

Progressives in the press and both political parties are livid, as are those in the abortion industry. Laura McQuade, Planned Parenthood chief executive, embarrassed herself in her rage. At a pro-abortion rally against the pro-life state laws passed, staged in front of the U.S. Supreme Court, she expounded on the new laws. McQuade explained that the laws were “…Not just an attack on women,” but “an attack on anyone who can or might get pregnant, including transgendered men and gender non-conforming people.”

On May 19, NBCNews.com ran a piece echoing McQuade: “Trans Dads Tell Doctors: ‘You can be a man and have a baby.’” This, despite the fact that no man in history has accomplished that biological miracle, was their claim. Once more, the Left wants to lie about science and live in their fantasy world, denying reality.

The most aggressive leftist female attorney chimed in. “Depriving a woman of an abortion is depriving her of a moral right,” Gloria Allred opined, then falsely claimed that the number of women who lost their lives in back alley abortions was comparable to lives lost in Vietnam. The New Yorker magazine agreed with Gloria, one of its pieces titled: “Abortion is a Moral Good”.

Then a Democrat presidential candidate joined the conversation, voicing his opinion, to protect barbarism. “I trust women to draw the line,” said Pete Buttigieg at a Fox News town hall, reinforcing a “woman’s right to choose.”

However, Buttigieg is wrong. God drew the line, and he drew it once, for all time. It’s not negotiable. Mayor Buttigieg’s arrogance is laughable; he doesn’t have the power to redraw a line that God established. And our Founders knew that plainly when they penned the Right to Life.
