Local News Agency Reveals Bias, Calls Abortion Bans “Dangerous”

Several years ago, when more women wore skirts and dresses, there was a common quip that people would use to inform a woman that her undergarment was visible. Since modesty was more prominent in those days, the woman who didn’t want their secrets out would quickly cover their slip. The phrase  used to warrant such a response was, “Your slip is showing.”

Well, in a similar fashion, a local news agency published an article that brings us to say, “44News, your bias is showing again.”

In an article released by 44News today, May 31st 2019, Tyrone Morris refers to abortion bans as “dangerous” before laying out the details of the pro-abortion event 44News is advertising for at the Allen County Courthouse Green on Monday.

With several local news agencies revealing their politically left-leaning bias in January and February of this year, this is the first known evidence of a pro-abortion stance from a local news agency.

The first comment under the article was posted by Mary Ellen Van Dyke, Executive Director of Right to Life of Southwest Indiana stating, “Abortion bans are dangerous? Abortion is always dangerous for the baby–who gets the death penalty.”

Statistics have shown that abortion bans are not actually dangerous at all in medically-advanced and civilized societies. In fact women who have died due to inaccessibility to abortion in the United States over the last 40 years are so minuscule that there isn’t even close to a single percentage point given for that measurement from the Center for Disease Control or any other combined or reliable source.

While the number of deaths of pregnant women who couldn’t get a wanted abortion are microscopic, the death toll of American babies over the same amount of time is well over 64 million.

The claim that abortion bans are dangerous is not only inaccurate, but irresponsible, and reveals political and emotional bias over statistical facts. Ultimately what we are saying is, “44News, you might want to cover your secrets before everyone sees them.”
