‘Dangerous Nonsense’ as Education: The Intellectually Vacant – by Jim Bratten

Jim Bratten

As we watch thousands of privileged, autocratic brats tear down historical statues, we discover that they have been programmed for one purpose only: to unquestioningly carry a socialist agenda forward, using personal harassment and violent civic unrest. Most of them are paid to practice their learned barbarity and are highly organized. These civic illiterates are totally ignorant and hate what America represents.

They are taught that America is built on racism, and it is now “systemic” for persons “of color.” The young, empty-headed are never instructed that the greatest assault on slavery has been the pairing of two documents: the American Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed the demise of slavery; and the U.S. Constitution, which laid the roadmap for the end of slavery. Both documents emphasize the opportunity for self-reliance and self-determination, and primacy of the individual over government, established in one, and only one, nation – the United States of America.

Radicals that riot, loot and burn are indoctrinated by their schools – at all levels – that the founding documents of this nation enshrine racism, when they actually do the opposite. The minions of mayhem are taught that the only way to “equality” is by a collective, which must be achieved through destruction of the “old systems.”

Today, 60% of U.S.-born adult citizens cannot pass the basic ten-question citizenship test; and the younger the participant the lower the score. Of course, how can anyone understand how their country is designed to work and why it’s been a success for over 230 years, when all class time is spent teaching children that their nation is evil, a failure and should be despised? Current public school curriculum and that of many private and parochial schools across our nation now incorporate Black Lives Matter propaganda and The 1619 Project. Kids aren’t educated for knowledge or liberty.

Black Lives Matter is NOT a “civil rights organization,” yet that’s what’s taught to our young. And The 1619 Project is pure fiction; alternative history sold as fact. This anti-American propaganda curriculum is subversive enough, but the poor teaching quality is nearly criminal.

“Nope the idea of 2+2 equaling 4 is cultural and because of Western imperialism/colonization, we think of it as the only way of knowing,” said Brittany Marshall, who described herself on Twitter as a “she/her, teacher, scholar, social justice change agent, Chicagoan, Ph.D. student at Rutgers, architecture enthusiast, wannabe math person, and BLM always.”

Ms. Marshall claims to be a teacher, which we hope she isn’t, at least not in math (she wants to be a “math person”). If she believes mathematics is “cultural” (but 2+2=4 is pretty much universal), she should reconsider her field. And Rutgers has her in a doctoral program when her “teachers college” credentials fail so miserably?

Identifying herself as a “social justice change agent,” she should never be allowed to teach children. Her stated loyalty to BLM serves to dramatically underscore this.

Twenty years ago, in his column “Random Thoughts” in Jewish World Review, Dr. Thomas Sowell of the Hoover Institution warned us: “Ours may become the first civilization destroyed, not by the power of our enemies, but by the ignorance of our teachers and the dangerous nonsense they are teaching our children. In an age of artificial intelligence, they are creating artificial stupidity.”

When Americans lost control over our education system 50 years ago, we set the stage for Portland, Oregon in 2020.
