The Atlantic headline read: “Trump: Americans Who Died in War Are ‘Losers and Suckers’” Author Jeffrey Goldberg used four “anonymous sources” to launch a character assassination against President Trump, painting his attitude toward our military war dead in World War I as callous and disrespectful… and unpresidential.
Trump was to pay respects to our war dead who gave their final measure in the War to End All Wars. He was forced to visit another cemetery since the one he was scheduled to visit was deemed too risky to access by helicopter due to low ceiling and poor visibility. You cannot fight bad weather, even if you are the President of the United States. He did follow through, but the Democrat Media didn’t have advance notice to be at the new cemetery in time to harass and attack him internationally.
Former White House security adviser John Bolton was there with the president in 2018, at the event in question, and vouched for the president. Bolton, no friend of Trump, echoed 18 other verified witnesses who were there and said he never heard anything like what Goldberg says Trump said in his Atlantic hit piece.
This happens over and over. Democrat Media invent a scenario, find “anonymous sources” to agree with the media narrative, then spread the farce to damage Trump. It fails miserably every time because there are facts to support it. People see no evidence and dismiss it. Bolton’s book failed; Trump’s niece tried to sully the family name and blame her uncle Donald but that failed also. So did several other attempts.
President Trump was forced to address the slanderous Atlantic article and was mad that four anonymous sources meant another attempt to nail him to the wall prior to the election. Goldberg never interviewed real witnesses willing to identify themselves.
Of course Joe Biden chimed in, since the hit piece by Goldberg was perfectly timed to mesh with Joe’s exit from his basement to “go see the people” (in small numbers using a Tele-Prompter). Regarding the accusations, Biden called Trump a “lousy president” because he supposedly called World War I American Doughboys buried in France “losers and suckers.”
Responding to The Atlantic hatchet job, journalist Sharyl Attkisson tweeted on September 3, “Let me explain. Scheduled ‘scandals’ will be rolled out regularly between now & Nov. 3. The media, politicos, propagandists pretend it’s organic & pretend to be aghast. Most of America understands what’s going on. After all, it’s not exactly a new approach in politics.”
Trump knows these “fake scandal” efforts are attempts to influence an election. The tactics in the Democrats’ strategy to accomplish a silent coup have been unprecedented but expected, based on their dishonesty and desperation to retain their control over the American population.
The Atlantic hit piece lasted about a week and the “next thing” has already been launched by Bob Woodward in a book, titled Rage. He highlights President Trump’s “slow walking” any response to the Wuhan virus, downplaying its severity. But the fools on the Hill have shot themselves again; Trump spoke of this incident back in March in the White House Rose Garden. He explained the intent of his comments regarding the virus in a press conference which was public.
But we realize that it’s just the “next thing.” From now until November 3 (and beyond after his win), one attempt after another will be made to trash Trump’s character by the Democrat Media and their comrades. For four years, it’s all they’ve had.
