Washington’s Birthday – by Jim Bratten

Jim Bratten

Our federal government may dismiss the importance of this birthday of our First President with a generic “Presidents Day,” but we still hold this day as President George Washington’s Birthday, with an admonition from the Father of Our Country:

“It is important… that the habits of thinking in a free country should inspire caution in those entrusted with its administration to confine themselves within their respective constitutional spheres, avoiding in the exercise of the powers of one department to encroach upon another… to consolidate the powers of all the departments in one, and thus to create… a real despotism.”

We advise alleged president Biden to confine himself within his constitutional “sphere.”
