Rise of the Eunuchs: Enter the Chamberlain – by Aaron Gish

In last month’s article, Rise of the Eunuchs: God of Justice, I spoke about the eunuchs in the book of Esther, and I explained that Esther was a type or shadow of eunuch who, in her Cinderella story came from a place of impotence and rose to a position that gave her authority of up to half the kingdom. She used her authority and position to expose and convict the conniving and corrupt man, Haman, who sought to commit genocide against her people, the Jews.

I pointed out that it was the eunuchs (Esther 1:11) in that kingdom who first exposed the Jezebel spirit which was on Queen Vashti. Vashti proved also to be conniving and manipulative and sexually perverse. The exposure of her rebelliousness was key in her banishment and ultimately, her death.

Likewise it was, in 2 Kings for Queen Jezebel as the eunuchs threw her out the window to her death, and the dogs ate most of her body and licked up her blood just as it was prophesied.

In the movie, One Night With the King, Esther’s close friend, Jesse, was taken away from his family by King Ahasuerus and Queen Vashti of Persia at the same time Hadassah (Esther) was taken. It is presumed by her friend’s behavior in the following scenes that he was castrated, made to be reproductively useless, turned into a eunuch, and forced to serve the king and queen in his diminished state. It seems that Jesse, at this point, has lost all self-esteem, lost all hope, and considers his life worthless.

Jezebel would agree with Jesse’s perspective of eunuchs, that they are worthless in fulfilling their own dreams and desires and the destiny for which God created them, so she positions them to serve her so that she can accomplish what she desires. That’s why she castrates them – to take away their sense of purpose, and to weaken their determination. Jezebel wants to take away all power away from someone she considers “meaningless,” “worthless,” or “less than” herself and wants only to empower herself by their servitude.

But that is not how God sees the eunuch. Do you see how God repeatedly uses the trustworthy eunuchs to expose great evil and corruption at such opportune times? Eunuchs can be very useful to God for exposure of wickedness and a great turnaround for all involved. God encourages the eunuch that all is not lost and that they, too, can be redeemed to a life of purpose.

“Nor let the eunuch say, ‘Behold, I am a dry tree.’ For this is what the Lord says: ‘To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, and choose what pleases Me, and hold firmly to My covenant, to them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial, and a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name which will not be eliminated.’” – Isaiah 56:3-5

God gives the faithful eunuch a new identity in Him. We can see this also in the New Testament.

In Acts 8:26-30, Phillip evangelizes to the first Gentile outside of Jerusalem, a eunuch, and baptizes him just before Phillip is translated to another place.

This passage brings to mind that eunuchs are not all lower-level servants to abusive kings and queens. Many eunuchs are made into officers who are given charge over many things on behalf of the king. Like Joseph, who was sold into slavery and promoted to the second in command over all of Pharaoh’s Egypt, the eunuchs have a special place and purpose in transforming a region, a territory, or a kingdom.

Eunuchs are made into officers, entrusted with the inner workings of the house, given keys to every room, and given authority no one else in the kingdom can have. In turn, they tend to see things that others don’t see and know things that others don’t know.

The most trusted eunuch in a kingdom becomes the right-hand-man, the armor-bearer, the chief-of-staff, and this position is called “the chamberlain”.

According to the 1828 Webster’s Dictionary, a chamberlain is defined as:

Chamberlain (noun) – 1. An officer charged with the direction and management of a chamber, or of chambers. The Lord chamberlain of Great Britain is the sixth officer of the crown. To him belong livery and lodging in the kings court; on coronation day he brings to the king his apparel, his sword, scabbard, etc. He dresses and undresses the king on that day, and waits on him before and after dinner. To him also belongs the care of providing all things in the house of lords, in time of parliament. Under him are the gentleman usher of the black rod, and other officers. The Lord chamberlain of the household has the oversight of all officers belonging to the kings chambers, except the precinct of the bed-chamber, of the wardrobe, physicians, chaplains, barbers, etc., and administers the oath to all officers above stairs.

The chamberlain is the chief eunuch… placed by God… to expose what the enemy has been doing behind closed doors all along, and to reverse the course of the kingdom. So, we call forth the eunuchs, the officers, and the chamberlains – Arise!

Exposure is upon us. The eunuchs are rising to positions of officers. Officers are rising to the position of chamberlains. And the kingdom is about to be transformed. (More to come on “The Chamberlain Anointing”.)

More and more eunuchs are rising today. Those who have had major life changes, horrible circumstances, destroyed allegiances, and lost identity are being redeemed by God, given a new identity, a new purpose, and a new position… a powerful position… to expose the fruits of darkness and bring a turnaround to God’s people.

Perhaps you have felt worthless, that your life is meaningless, and that you have lost your purpose. Rest assured; God has bigger plans for you right now in this season in the Rise of the Eunuchs.
