What ‘Insurrection’?: Democrat Obsession Over January 6 – by Jim Bratten

Last summer, Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called for “uprisings all over the country.” On January 6, 2021, however, she found a protest that she called an “insurrection.” In secret, she knew about it ahead of time, and so did Republican Senator Mitch McConnell and Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer.

House and Senate leadership were told of a “planned” event against the Capitol Building days in advance by the FBI. When President Trump was tipped off, he offered 10,000 National Guardsmen to protect and secure the Capitol Hill complex. Congressional leadership turned him down. They also did not ask for “beefed up” Capitol Hill Police presence, even after the police chief warned that he heard of a threat. He asked for additional manpower; they said, “No.” So he told some of his officers on the force to stay home; no need to show up, since the attitude by congressional leadership suggested there was no impending danger.

During Nancy Pelosi’s Summer of Uprisings, 60 Secret Service agents were injured, protecting the White House from attacks by Antifa and Black Lives Matter (BLM) thugs who tried to storm the grounds on several occasions.

Across this nation, over thirty police officers were killed and over 2,500 injured last summer, by Antifa and BLM rioters who had backing from Democrats inciting the riots. The Democrat Media cheered for these real insurrections by radical leftists.

In over 275 riots during 2020, law enforcement officers were harassed by various Democrat elected officials calling to “Defund the police!” Officers were assaulted in skirmishes and altercations in Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, and many other major Democrat-controlled cities, including Washington, DC. Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, and dozens of other Democrats urged the rioters to continue; “Don’t stand down, don’t give up!” VP Candidate Harris promised in a media interview that the riots, arson, and looting would not end any time soon; those would continue and “should continue,” in her words.

For Democrats, the riots by their KKK successor gangs (“activist” groups) were no “threat to democracy.” But on January 6, 2021 the “threat to democracy” was “dire.”

Greg Kelly of Newsmax keeps asking the same question periodically in his weekday evening commentary: “Who killed Ashli Babbitt on January 6 in the U.S. Capitol?” A Trump supporter, USAF veteran Ashli Babbitt was the only life lost that day (despite Nancy Pelosi’s repeated lie of five), by a single shot from a Capitol Hill policeman, striking the unarmed woman at close range inside the Capitol Building. “She was white and a Trump supporter,” says Kelly. “So who cares? No issue there.”

None of the Trump supporters were armed. Many were invited inside the Capitol Building by Capitol Hill Police who moved barricades back, some officers motioning them forward toward the building’s entrance. The perpetrators who did damage, some breaking windows or entering from scaffolding they scaled, were there 20 minutes before Trump demonstrators arrived. Several of them have been identified as Antifa or BLM posing as Trump supporters, flags and all, who arrived by bus in DC.

H. R. 3233, funding a “January 6 Commission,” passed the House by one vote, 35 Republicans joining House Democrats to “investigate the insurrection.” We say, “No insurrection occurred; but something smells awfully fishy in Nancy’s House.”

Senate Republicans need to stand in unison and shout “What insurrection?” in opposition to yet another Democrat farce.

  1. I forwarded this to my Representative, Fred Upton, and our Cass County GOP Chairman.
Anyone who reads this please do the same to your Congressional elected officials.
