Georgia’s recent election law changes are all moderate improvements, intended to lessen election fraud: Voter ID for absentee ballots; expansion of in-person early voting; secure ballot drop boxes; end of portable poll sites; etc. And Georgia is purging 100,000 names from its voter registration rolls, the deceased and those who no longer reside in Georgia or are illegal in other ways. Most of the changes are common sense improvements, not race-oriented.
Once Democrats got their attack narrative out to their corporate donors, CEOs pounced, never having read the new law. A headline on CNN Newsroom read: “Levi’s Calls Restrictive Voting Measures ‘Racist’ & a ‘Step Backward.’” Coca-Cola and dozens of other major corporations slammed the new Georgia law with similar unfounded, slanderous comments, and Major League Baseball pulled their All-Star game from Atlanta…on the word of Democrats.
Even the squishy Wall Street Journal got in the game to trash Georgia, celebrating the corporations who boycotted Georgia over its new election law. “CEOs Lead America’s New Great Awakening: their political activism on behalf of voting rights will help bring about a spiritual revival.” But as with other dupes of the press, the WSJ had it completely backwards.
Georgia, in their actions to reverse or correct corrupt processes in their November 3, 2020 election system, has company—other states are doing likewise. The Biden Regime sees it and doesn’t want to be exposed. So now it will use the government’s power to retaliate politically through lawsuits—Georgia will pay for its insolence.
Within 24 hours of the Democrats’ failure to get their “Corrupt Politicians Act” (H.R. 1/S.R. 1) to the Senate floor last week, the Biden Regime’s attorney general, Merrick Garland, announced the Justice Department (DOJ) will sue the state of Georgia over its new election law. The Democrats’ effort to achieve a one-party centralized state through complete control of federal elections, its tactics laid out in S.R. 1, was a loss, but temporary. Democrats will use the same process they have for decades: if their dangerous schemes fail legislative muster, they head straight to the courts. Their tyrannical plan to destroy the Electoral College and the 200+ year-old federal election system in the U.S. must move forward, just as Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign promised: Forward! They cannot win elections on the merits of their policies (socialism), so why have elections?
If a state doesn’t abide by the Biden Regime’s election playbook, the DOJ will sue on a “suspected” civil rights violation; they won’t need evidence of the infraction. But the DOJ cannot sue a state for the actions of its legislature passing a new election law; this is what the Constitution provides for. The DOJ (of any administration) has no jurisdiction in this area and no standing to sue. This action by Merrick Garland and the DOJ is an abuse of taxpayer dollars, a violation of the 1965 Civil Rights Act (Voting Rights Act), and an abuse of power. DOJ’s suit against Georgia has no merit; it’s completely political.
It’s time Mrs. Clinton, Mr. Obama, Mrs. Pelosi and Mr. Schumer, stop lying that black Georgians will have their votes suppressed by the new voter ID requirements in that state. Every recent poll on this topic shows that blacks who respond to the question of voter ID overwhelmingly favor it; the most recent poll registered black sentiment pro-voter ID at a whopping 80%. Minority participation in the 2020 election in Georgia was up by double digits and there’s no evidence of voter suppression by race in the November 3, 2020 election.
All Republican state attorneys general should rally in defense of Georgia, and any other state that decides they’ve had enough of massive Democrat election fraud.
Republicans need to get serious about what this nation faces. If they don’t stop this Marxist juggernaut, it’s no more elections.
