Infrastructure Dupes: GOP Senators Plan a Victory for Biden – by Jim Bratten

Democrat leadership in the Senate will get their $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill, thanks to Republicans; 2,702 pages of red ink waste, fraud, and pure politics. Only 23% of the $1.2 trillion bill is dedicated for infrastructure, and the word “dedicated” is even questionable.

While Indiana Republican Senator Mike Braun was exposing some of the unconstitutional fraud and waste inside this evil bill, the other Indiana Republican Senator, Todd Young, was signing on with Democrats to support this gross monstrosity of irresponsible spending, one of seventeen Republican senators who care more about the word “bipartisan” than saving the nation. The 17 GOP senators who support this atrocity are: Roy Blunt (MO); Richard Burr (NC); Shelly Capito (WV); Bill Cassidy (LA); Susan Collins (ME); Kevin Cramer (ND); Mike Crapo (ID); Chuck Grassley (IA); Lindsey Graham (SC); John Hoeven (ND); Mitch McConnell (KY); Lisa Murkowski (AK); Rob Portman (OH); Mitt Romney (UT); Tom Tillis (NC); Jim Risch (ID); and Todd Young (IN). Only ten GOP senators are needed to vote “yes” to reach the 60 required to break any filibuster and pass the bill on to the House.

These 17 Republican senators have thrown their oaths of office in the garbage and abandoned this nation’s future to the Marxism of the Biden Regime. They raised their hands to give alleged president Joe Biden an infrastructure win. All of these GOP senators deserve to be primaried.

Sen. John Thune (R-SD) said of the almost-infrastructure bill, “I think Republicans get some benefit from it…Anytime people are working together to try to get results, I think that in the long term accrues to their benefit.”

Early last week a non-discrimination clause that elevates sexual orientation and gender identity as a federally-protected class was inserted in the bill. The enforcement and judicial review portions of this clause are linked to Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and will incrementally introduce pieces of Speaker Pelosi’s Equality Act (H. R. 5), mandating special privileges based on a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity (SOGI) and opening the door to a harmful agenda that will severely damage rights protected by the First Amendment.

Besides establishing special protections for SOGI in federal law, this bill includes a broad statute against hate crimes; it buries future generations under mountains of debt and ushers in Pelosi’s massive wish list through reconciliation, which can pass by a simple majority in the Senate.

Hidden inside the $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill are more nuggets of nonsense: $2.5 billion to pay for “welcome centers” for illegal aliens; $1 billion for a commission run by Senator Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) wife; the criminalization of “science denial;” more funding for Planned Parenthood; and a tax on every mile you drive. There’s also $15 billion in this bill for electric vehicle “infrastructure.” By the way, all funds will be allocated/prioritized by race.

As Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) described it, “This is not an infrastructure bill; this is a woke politics bill that is being paid for with hundreds of billions of dollars in pork barrel spending.”

So why allow a $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill to pass the Senate, when it will be held under conditions in the House where Nancy Pelosi gave an ultimatum: she won’t pass it unless it’s married to her $3.5+ trillion Marxist Remake of America monstrosity, aka, the Green New Deal? You get both for multiple trillions in debt upon your children and grandchildren, massive inflation, and an invasion of your privacy.

This bill is the first act in the Sanders AOC Green New Deal that will obliterate this republic and destroy the concept of ordered liberty and the rule of law. And now we hear there may be twenty Republican Senate dupes who don’t understand that.
