A judge in the Ninth Circuit has granted COVID exemptions to private schools in California. The judge’s decision said he “…recognized the fundamental rights of parents to make decisions concerning the care, custody, and control of their children,” including, “the right to direct the upbringing and education of children under their control.” But the judge didn’t rule on government schools. Nevertheless, Democrat Media was livid, countering, “Pediatrics Group Contradicts CDC, Says All Children, Staff, Should Wear Masks in School.”
The CDC couldn’t let this judge’s decision stand unchallenged in the public mind, so they—changed their rule! Hence, the headline, “Revised CDC Guidance: Resume Mask Use Indoors in US Where Cases Are Surging.” CDC recommendations now said that all K-12 schools should “mask up” children, despite the “science,” which concludes that kids don’t need to wear masks. In fact, masks are more detrimental to kids’ health than the Chinese virus. And the masks commonly used were never intended for virus control.
That’s all it took for Democrat-run metropolitan areas to change course: “St. Louis Reimposes Indoor Mask Mandate” and “Chicago Schools will Require Masks”—just two of many headlines exposed by the coverage on Newsmax. When Miguel Cardona, Biden’s education secretary, got his White House marching orders he rushed to talk shows declaring masks would be mandated for government schools by the Department of Education. Teachers’ unions demanded total mask use or they would close government schools again, despite children suffering socially, emotionally, mentally and physically. Obey, or else.
“The CDC hasn’t thought this through, carefully,” said Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, Professor of Medicine at Stanford University, describing his puzzlement at the CDC’s recent flip-flop on mask wearing. “If one is trying to lessen the contagion from a virus, the CDC strategy is wrong.”
It is completely effective, however, if the objective is conditioning a populace for complacency… and control.
