The city of Indianapolis gave the “Bail Project” a donation of $150,000 in Indy taxpayer money. The Bail Project is a national organization, similar to the “Freedom Fund” in Minneapolis, that bails out felons so they can return to the streets and resume their criminal careers where they left off—before an arrest interrupted their trail of crime.
Indianapolis reduced the bail of a felon recently, so the Bail Project paid it. The released felon proceeded to visit his girlfriend and stab her to death.
No one in the Indianapolis criminal justice system will be punished for the early termination of that young woman’s life. And neither will any leftist at the Bail Project. Until there’s a penalty paid for assisting criminality, crime (and death) will increase.
Is this imbecilic action by local authorities in Indy intended to embellish their crime cred so they can compete with other Democrat-run “Blue Cities” for most homicides in 2021?
