In 2021, murders of police officers jumped 59%; 73 officers were killed, ambushed or shot on patrol, on the average of one every five days. So far this year, police officer shootings are up 43%; over 100 officers had been shot as of April 1. Officers are leaving.
District attorneys and city and county prosecutors funded by George Soros are still in office, releasing violent offenders as soon as they are booked. And police defunding continues in some major metros run by Democrats.
New York City is feeling it: Auto theft, UP 104.7%; Rape, UP 35.4%; Robbery, UP 56%; Burglary, UP 43.9%; Assault, UP 22%.
